Verisign was one of the many major global organizations – a list that includes Cisco, Google, Yahoo, Akamai and more – that participated today in IPv6 Day.
The day was intended as a test run for the new IPv6 internet protocol, the major benefit of which is the drastic increase in the amount of available IP addresses.
You can view what percentage of the approximately 60 billion DNS queries Verisign receives on a daily basis have come from IPv6 here and read more about IVP6 Day and what the transition means for the future.
