For many people playing video games may not actually be their full time job. But they do devote so many hours to it that it may as well be.

Twitch.tv, a spinoff from our friends at Justin.tv, is looking to connect those dots a little bit more, though. The site is launching a partners program that will allow video gamers who broadcast their adventures there to monetize those streams. The program gives gamers control over what sort of ads are run and when they appear.

Details on revenue split aren’t clear at this point but, regardless, the fact that Justin.tv is opening up this option is a sign it’s seeing success with efforts along these lines.
