One of our great .tv Advocates*, C.C. Chapman, wrote up this post about a fantastic .tv website that he wanted to share. We’ve already added it to our “must-watch” list.

Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows that I rarely go anywhere without a camera. The love for photography is in my genes and I have fond memories of spending time in the dark room developing photos with my grandfather.

That is why when I discovered TheArtofPhotography.tv I was so excited.

The Art of Photography is a weekly podcast covering all things photography related and has been going strong since the end of 2008. Ted Forbes started the podcast because he wanted to focus on helping people get better with their cameras rather than only focusing on equipment reviews.

I really like the simple, straight forward nature of the videos. They feel more like a conversation with Ted than an overly produced promotional video. As if to add to the fun, he has a fascination with Holga cameraswhich in today’s world of everything digital, the throw back to film warms my heart.

He also holds live classes from time to time and I keep promising myself that one of these days I’ll actually have an open enough schedule to catch one.

To a get a feel for the show, here is one of my favorite episodes where he actually reviews the book Annie Leibovitz A Photographer’s Life: 1990-2005 which is a personal favorite of mine. Enjoy.
