About the Authors

Michaela Barnes:

Michaela Barnes recently joined VeriSign’s Naming Division and has responsibility for .tv, .cc and .jobs. She also is working on end user applications that pair up nicely with different domains and can be distributed through our partners. She’s worked at high tech companies from small start-ups to big behemoths, and some companies in between.

When not playing PowerPoint jockey during the day, she likes to be with her family; hiking, biking, gardening, or cooking (well, eating really). And, she recently went back to a childhood love; dancing.

Tom Correia:

Tom Correia is the .tv, .cc, and .jobs Product Manager and a 10-year veteran of VeriSign.  He has had several roles within VeriSign including training Customer Service reps, valuing domains as an Appraisal Expert at GreatDomains, and working in the Global Network Operations Center. Tom is still as passionate and enthusiastic about working at VeriSign as he was the first day he started.

Tom has a variety of interests outside of work – watching movies, attending hockey games (go Caps!), riding around in his Jeep with the top down enjoying the sunshine, and practicing martial arts are just a few examples. Mostly, whenever he has a free moment he can be found with his wife spending time together and generally enjoying life.
